About Dr. Bach

DR BACH – Dr Bach studied and then worked at the University College hospital in London. He was a bacteriologist, and later a pathologist working in general practice as well as with vaccines and homeopathy. Although successful with orthodox medicine, he was not satisfied by the traditional medicine method, setting the focal point on the disease instead of perceiving the person behind the illness.
He gave up his lucrative Harley Street practice and left London determined to search in nature a new healing system. He dedicated the rest of his life to his search abandoning the scientific methods of medicine he had practiced. He trusted his intuition and natural gifts as a healer to guide his search in nature. In this process he would suffer a particular emotional state and then experiment various plants and flowers until he found the one that was addressed to it.
Dr Bach spent the springs and summers looking for and preparing the essences. He was successful in finding the remedies he wanted, each one related to an emotion or mental state. During the winters he helped all people who needed assistance. When he treated the personalities and feelings of his patients instead of the physical distress, he observed that the natural healing potential in their bodies was unblocked, giving way to a healing process.
In 1934 Dr Bach moved to Mount Vermont in Oxfordshire where he completed his work, finding the remaining remedies that total the 38 essences.
Dr Bach passed away peacefully on the evening of November 27th, 1936. He was only 50 years old but through great personal suffering and sacrifice, he completed his life’s work. He left behind him many lifetime experiences and great effort in the discovery of a system of medicine that is now used efficiently all over the world. What a great present he has left us!
